Let's not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another---and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
The importance of communion, meaning communal meals, has been highlighted to me lately by God. There is something about what occurs over a meal together that is pure magic and sings to my soul.
Making a dish to bring to my neighbor's house where we meet Thursday nights gives me anxiety and joy simultaneously. The anxiety comes from the knowledge that all will be bared and secrets revealed over these dishes. My heart is always very vulnerable, but in these moments, when I am being mentored by some and mentoring others, my vulnerability must be filtered through the needs of the others gathered. So many who join us are used to hiding their faults out of the shame of their past decisions or fear of the judgment of the others in the room. It's in these moments I get to lovingly allow my family to become what God created them to be. It is through the food I lovingly prepare and my intercession with God that I am able to create an atmosphere of trust and vulnerability for these beautiful people. We are all learning together and are allowing our growth to encourage each other.

Do Not Stop Meeting Together. You, my God, are with me
If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, do not boast over those branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. You will say then, :Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in." Granted, But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid. For if God did not spare the natural branches, He will not spare your either. Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: Sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off. And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. After all, if you were cut out of an olive tree that is wild by nature, and contrary to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more readily will these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree!
